I'm printing off my biggest project yet: the Cyber Train from Loot Studio's recent sci-fi drop. Makin' progress so far!

Core Space First Born Mission 0: Exploration

Ship Log - Eidolon

Mission 0: Exploration

Word of a First Born facility hidden in the asteroids of MSX-368 had been circulating around the Trader channels for awhile now, so when the old Prospector offered to sell us the location, I figured that the info would be reliable. I should have known that she would go for as many payouts as possible before the information got too public.

We got there first, but not by much. I sent Wade and Balcor deeper into the facility to grab what they could; Wade headed for a Stasis Tank while Balcor lumbered off to see what he could find. I dashed for the nearest alien crate.

No sooner had I got there when I saw a pair of pirate captains run past, beyond the nearest doorway. I thought about ambushing them but didn't feel confident about it with my crew spread out and searching, so instead I sent the signal for them to grab what they could and run back to the hatch.

Wade of course took the safest route out and back - for him, and hang what the alien patrol drones might do to the rest of us, friend and foe alike. The one that spotted him nevertheless managed to put a neat burn hole through his right bicep - serves him right, to be honest. The autodoc fixed him up as soon as we got back. He also had a pretty good haul, enough that he had to leave the trash gear we had taken with us.

I grabbed what I could as well, and started back, but lingered to see if Balcor needed any help. He did not, lumbering up behind the hapless drone and ripping it in half like so much tissue. He saw me and grinned. We clambered through the airlock one after the other while chaos erupted behind us; it seemed the pirates and other chancers had awoken the station.

Core Space: Patrol Class Shuttle

I added a Patrol Class Shuttle to my Core Space collection.

It's a fun little papercraft project that took a couple of hours to build.

Some of the pieces are a bit finicky and difficult to align.

It has a removable roof and a fully-detailed interior, though, which is pretty cool.

***

The kit is intended as an accessory to the Core Space boardgame, and comes with missions and extra bits for that use. I'm looking forward to my crew affording one - they are pretty spendy, but pretty useful once acquired.

It's a pretty decent piece of terrain, too, even if it doesn't quite meet the tabletop standard of a proper miniatures game.

Rangers of Shadow Deep: some Gnolls

Here's an assortment of Gnolls from Loot Studios. Most of these prints have minor issues, but they will do the job.

Two Small Projects: Tentacles and Regimental Advisors

I'm in 'grab and paint' mode, so first had this urge to paint some 3d-printed squid tentacles comic-style:  I added some gloss v...
