The Perfect is the Enemy of the Good: a Battle Systems Wizard Tower

Last week I picked up some card terrain from Battle Systems. This is their Wizard Tower. It's quite an imposing centrepiece!

It's scaled to 28mm or so. GW minis can be a bit of a tight fit.

The top of the tower (accessible by ladder or apparition) is a Wizard's Sanctum. Even the scatter terrain that comes with the set looks pretty decent!

The tower itself is in two halves so you can access the detailed interior. Again, there's not a ton of room to move around in there, but it's pretty cool to be able to play around inside the tower as well.

I've had my nose up in the air about card and prepainted terrain for most of the time I've been gaming. I have to say that after playing with Al's collection and my sci-fi stuff, Battle Systems have completely won me over. At $60 Cdn after taxes, it's not a terribly expensive kit. It was a lot of fun to assemble, it's durable and (bulk aside) transports very easily. Most importantly, I think it looks great, and fits in nicely among both miniatures and resin scatter on the tabletop.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
